Welcome to Dan Voice!

 

You may not know this, but exactly 131 years ago, my life revolved around playing and writing music. From singing in the Cincinnati BoyChoir, to performing at Carnegie Hall, starting a band,  touring the US, Canada, and Japan, playing the Vans Warped Tour, writing hundreds of songs (and never releasing 95% of them), and recording original music under Madonna’s label Maverick Records, music has already been a huge part of my life.

Since my emo hair has been cut (or fallen out) I’ve taken an interest in singing and playing for friends and good company! What do I play? ANYTHING! I’ve always said good music is good music, whether it be country, rock and roll, modern pop, the classics. A bit before COVID hit us, I started blending my passion for music and photography / videography into a series I called the “Bourbon Room Sessions”. I set up a few microphones in my living room, recorded the audio into a laptop, and setup a camera or two on tripods and filmed myself playing a song, then put them together. It was just a way to share my love with music with friends that I wasn’t able to see on a regular basis. Since then, I’ve been asked to play out live, which I enjoy doing when time allows. I’ll do my best to keep the BRS’s coming and uploaded here. I will also do my best to try and post some live content here as well. Stay tuned!!
