Q: You shot So and So’s wedding, and you took a few photos of me and my So and So. Where can I find those photos?
A: EASY! All my public shoots are hosted:HERE! Feel free to browse through all my work!
Q: I see you primarily do weddings, do you shoot (Insert random event or object needing photographed)?
A. ABSOLUTELY! While I may cater to the wedding world, I’ve shot a wide variety of pictures. I’ve shot everything from corporate product shots, to real estate, family and dog photos, band photos, sporting events, models, and cars…just to name a few. Just shoot me an email or text and we can begin planning your shoot!
Q:How long have you been into art and photography?
A: I picked up my first DSLR camera in 2007, and shot my first wedding in 2009. Since then, I have shot hundreds of sessions, taught classes to other photographers, been published in Forbes magazine, featured in Huffington Post a dozen times, and served hundreds of clients locally and all over the US / Canada. This always begs the question, WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO YOU? Is it having beautiful timeless images from your big day? Let me help coach you and use my expertise to set you up for success. Is it having someone who knows how to manage any unexpected event so that you can get to the reception on time? Is it having someone who’s done this so many times that they know what to expect and the best way to approach every scenario? Those are the things the pictures won’t tell you, but the brides will. I’d love to tell you more over a cup of joe 🙂 Previous to photography, I was a recording artist for Maverick Records, toured the world, sang in Carnegie Hall, and entertained off the big stage. I still play guitar and sing for my friends and my local church. Want more Dan voice in your life? Check out my music stuff HERE!
Q: How many pictures will I get at my wedding?
A: This one is a bit tricky to answer, as it depends on how many hours of coverage you require, how many shooters you desire, how many are in your bridal party, and how many guests you have. A typical 8 hour wedding with two photographers commonly nets over 1500+ fully edited non-watermarked images.
Q: How long will it take to get my wedding pictures back?
A: I know how anxious you are to see your wedding photos, I’m the same way whenever I have my picture taken! That’s why I put up a sample of teaser shots up a few days after the wedding to hold you over until all images are perfectly ready for your viewing. While some couples may receive their images sooner, all couples receive their final wedding images under 30 days from when the wedding was shot. I’ve had some weddings back in under 7 days, I haven’t needed over 30 days to completely edit, upload, and return wedding images in 10+ years. A wise photographer once told me, if you shoot it right the first time, you won’t need to edit too much! (Thanks CB!)
Q: Have you ever shot at XYZ Location?
A: Probably! I’ve shot repeats of many venues but my favorite venue is by far a new one. It’s always nice to see a new location and have a fresh perspective on how to tell the couple’s story at that setting. New alleys, fields, streets, and parks are a playground for pictures, and I always enjoy creating new looks at new sites. If you are unsure where you want to do your session, just reach out and ask! I keep a location list of places i’ve shot with sample galleries to help give you an idea of what your session may look like!
Q: Why should we hire Dan Kinzie Photography?
A: With over 150+ weddings under my belt, I realize how important beautiful, timeless images are but it’s about more than just the pictures. Something my 10+ years of experience won’t tell you, is my true passion for capturing your special day. I encourage you to reach out to previous clients, and see how their special day went with me. This is the most important day of your life, and your entire family and friends will be there to help celebrate. I respect all of your guests and family as if they were my own. Your wedding day is the most important thing for me, which is why I arrive early, stay late, come fully equipped with professional camera equipment and backup gear just in case something happens. Through proper planning, we can outline the events of your day to make sure everything goes smoothly and stays on schedule. After your wedding is photographed, your images are fully backed up on a local server and a cloud based server that same night. These images are then fully edited and hand corrected for lighting, color, and composition, then delivered within 30 days. I understand that everyone is excited about their images which is why I post a sneak peek a few days after the wedding to share with family and friends. Once the editing is complete, a full online wedding gallery is published and a print release is provided. While you have the option to print your images wherever you’d like, I do offer wholesale pricing on prints and canvases through a professional print lab. From the planning process to the delivery of your images, I’m readily available and easy to reach should you have any questions or concerns along the way. I look forward to meeting you and discussing the details of your special day!
